A Spring breeze is blowing
I’m bursting with laughter
wishing for flowers
Matsuo Bashō, translator unknown
A simple lace pattern knitted in conjunction with nups worked in the contrast sections of yarn. Incredibly light, yet very warm, this is the perfect summer accessory.
Using 3.25mm needles (US size 3) to create a winding vine with little petals in space and berries out of nups using just increases, decreases and yarn overs. The yarn is a very fine cobweb weight at 1300m / 1422y per 100g.
sizes:
small: blocked dimensions: width 22.5 cm / 9 inches, length 160 cm / 63 inches.
large: blocked dimensions: width 45 cm / 18 inches, length 160 cm / 63 inches.
gauge:
31 sts per 10 cm / 4 inches and 45 rows per 10 cm / 4 inches in stocking stitch.
colourways:
indigo deep: the darkest I can dye with this beautiful botanical. It's my most expensive dye, hence the price
indigo spot: the inverse of indigo: mostly white yarn with an occasional indigo spot
indigo and cochineal: these two sit softly side by side
each kit contains the yarn and a pattern pdf which is emailed to you.
